Changes to Silicon-Dragons Products

Due to increased interest in various products and services we are offering I am moving things around in my schedule in order to dedicate more time to specifically handle issues related to this website and its products. Up till now I have been working nights to complete work on various orders and this has lead to the atrocious turn around time of around 2 weeks from time of order.

Starting today, I have been dedicating every Tuesday and Thursday to working in the shop to complete the various products that have been ordered. They should then ship the following day (Wednesday or Friday). This should get things down to a much more reasonable one week or less turn around.

Thanks again for everyone who has ordered products through us up till now for your patience and understanding regarding previous scheduling issues, and I hope that the new schedule will better serve future customers with getting what they want when they want it.

Durable Finishes

When you are painting a miniature that will get a lot of use, be sure to spend extra time on the clear coat varnishes to finish it off. This will prevent chips and wear from showing and save you the hassle of repainting.

The most durable finish is a pure clear coat as opposed to a matte finish. In order to get the best of both worlds do one or two coats with a gloss clear coat and follow it with one or two coats of matte. The gloss will protect the paint job, while the matte finish will help to reduce glare.
