Welcome!

Welcome to my site - a site dedicated to my hobby of miniature painting, and a chance for me to show off some of my work. Please feel free to post any comments or suggestions for improvement in my guestbook. For anyone not familiar with the hobby or just generally curious, you can find out more about the world of miniatures here.

11.02.2008: A new site...
I've done some changes to the site yet again, this time involving a move to a new address: insanguinveritas.com. The reason for this is to try out some new things in parallel with this site, one of the main changes being the inclusion of guest gallery functionality for showcasing the work of some of the best painters in Finland. I haven't decided yet whether I'll be maintaining both sites in parallel, or just switching entirely to the new site from now on, so it's worth checking it out ;)

13.11.2007: Another layout change...
Once again, I decided it's time to change the look of the site, and also rearrange the structure of things a bit. I've also managed to get another couple of miniatures ready; Onental the Smuggler, which I painted up for an online competition on Arcane Miniatures but which didn't place, and Feylhin the Savage, also from Rackham - you'll find the pictures in the gallery.

05.10.2007: Another little update...
I have yet another update to the gallery, this time an out-of-season Freebooter Christmas mini which was a birthday present to my wife.

30.09.2007: And that's the second painted miniature this month!
Amazingly for me, I've actually managed to get another miniature painted - this time one that has been waiting it's turn for quite a while; Boromir from GW. Once again, the pictures are available in the gallery section.

06.09.2007: Trying out a new miniature company...
I've finally managed to get a new miniature painted, and this time it's Thorvin from Enigma miniatures - a break for me from the GW and Rackham stuff I've been doing most of the time, and also a bit of dabbling in metallics for a change - you'll find pictures in the gallery section.

17.04.2007: Back from the French Demons...
Well, I just got back from the French Golden Demons in Paris - the miniatures were mind-boggling, the food was delicious, and the city as amazing as expected ;) I've posted pictures of my two entries - a Lahmian Vampire and a Dark Eldar Hellion - you'll find them in the gallery. The Hellion didn't make it to the finals, but the Vampire got me Bronze in the Fantasy Single category :-) Thanks to all the organisers of the event for doing so, and to all the oher painters for producing so many miniatures of such amazing quality - and of course congratulations to all the winners, especially Allan Carrasco!

20.03.2007: More small updates...
I still haven't got anything much in the way of updates - I do have some new stuff just about ready, but it'll be mid-April before I get the pictures uploaded. So for now, I've just updated the links section and done some minor tweaking to the layout.

01.01.2007: Layout updates
Unfortunately I still haven't been up to much on the painting front, but I'm working on it ;) So for now, it's just another overhaul on the look of the site, and a very Happy New Year to all!

08.08.2006: My first demon...
Once again, I had a great time at the German Golden Demons in Cologne, and this time I even managed to get an award; silver in the 40k single category! It's really amazing to get a demon after seeing coverage of the winners in White Dwarf for about fifteen years, but I also have to be a bit selfish and hope that this will only be the first in many ;) Thanks to all the people who were involved in organising the event, and congratulations to all the winners - it would have been nice to hang around longer, but I was a bit too stunned at the time...

14.05.2006: A small step for the site...
...And a big step for me... I haven't been painting much for quite a while now, mainly because of a lack of inspiration and motivation, but also because of some pretty big changes for me otherwise; namely moving to live and work in Dublin ;) This date is also more than your average Sunday for me, so I'd also like to wish my brother a very happy birthday, and my mother a very happy Mother's Day! For now I've only made some minor changes to the layout of the site, but I've also added a guestbook and a small WIP gallery with a few pictures of what I'm working on at the moment.

30.08.2005: A trip to Germany
Well, I finally got round to entering my first Golden Demons - not in the UK this time, but Germany instead. I had a great time there, and it was quite an experience to see so many great miniatures. I entered my Chaos Lord miniature (from earlier in the year) in the Warhammer Single category, and a Howling Banshee in the Warhammer 40k Single category - and I was really happy to see both of these getting into the finals! I also decided to enter an oldie, my Champion of Russ in the Open Category just to see how it would hold up to some more recent work, but it didn't get into the finals for its category. Thanks to the organisers for the event, and congratulations to all the winners and other painters for making the standards so high. All in all, I had a great time, and I'm hoping that I'll get round to participating in the Golden Demons again - Cologne will definitely be on my list of places to visit again!

27.07.2005: Ropecon 2005
The first update in a long time, this time with pics of my Ropecon 2005 entry - Reaper's Duke Gerrard.
